Automatic Document Management

A bespoke software package that creates correspondence documents using WORD. Documents are automatically created with reference numbers, date  and customer information. It maintains a database of documents created and allows searching by a number of fields. The number of documents created on each day can be charted and displayed. 

Purchase Order System

This bespoke office software was developed to allow purchase orders to be issued, archived  and searched. A supplier and project database is  maintained by the operator and installed locally Purchase orders can then be created in numeric order by entering component data and quantities into the system. The purchase order can then be printed out and issued. Past purchase orders or components bought can then be searched by project, date, purchase order number or supplier.

Scientific Instrument Control System

We have produced many bespoke scientific software packages to control our embedded instrumentation, some tailored for one customer, others provided as a standard package for one of our standard instruments. The example on the right shows a standard software package that controls our EzeScan instrument. In this software the user can setup the instrument to perform one of eight complex methods, each having a number of setup parameters. The use can then run the experiment and view the data graphical in manual scale mode or autoscale mode. Data can be saved and viewed later. Up to 10 data traces can be reloaded and compared on the graph.

Electro Deposition Quality System

A manufacturer using a electro deposition process required a bespoke software package to record and monitor the equipment on a daily basis. The bespoke software provided, both controlled the process and recorded vital parameters. A database of these values was then used to create quality charts and a reliable traceable record. Limits could be set so that warning and error message were issued and stored with the records.

Stockcontrol System

A small clothing supplier required an error free bespoke software package to allow incoming and outgoing stock to be recorded. This replaced a collection of spreadsheets which were stored on a single PC. A simple single form software package allowed three users to access the data from their own workstations. Incoming phone inquiries regarding stock could be answered immediately. Verification on inputing data reduced the number of errors to a minimum. Audit reports could be easily printed out.

Quality Control Statistics Package

A manufacturer required a bespoke software package to improve their quality control testing of products. The package was required to perform a number of standard methods whilst reducing their labour by automating the testing process. It also needed to be able to produce validation certificates, to be included with the product and manufacturing process control charts.  Appropriate pass/fail limits could be automatically set. Data was used to create Statistical Process Control charts to monitor batch-to-batch variability and the manufacturing process. 
The company greatly benefited by reducing their labour costs used to carry out the tests. They were able to monitor the Statistical Process Control of batches to identify any changes in the manufacturing process that could then be addressed. Each component was individually numbered and a summary of the data included in the packing box, thereby ensuring traceability.
